As a Public Relations Intern at Brustman Carrino PR, a boutique agency specializing in food and hospitality, I supported client visibility through press materials, influencer outreach, and event coordination. My work included drafting restaurant roundups and press releases, researching local influencers and media outlets, and attending client events to foster relationships with food writers and creators. This role strengthened my skills in media relations, campaign strategy, and hospitality-focused PR while giving me hands-on experience in one of New Orleans’ most dynamic industries.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

At Brustman Carrino Public Relations, I drafted press releases and created restaurant roundups highlighting client dining experiences, such as seasonal “Best Brunches” features. These materials were tailored for media distribution and designed to strengthen client visibility in the competitive New Orleans food and hospitality scene.

RESEARCH

I conducted targeted research to identify local influencers, lifestyle bloggers, and food writers whose audiences aligned with client restaurants. I also tracked potential media outlets covering vacation and dining spots in the New Orleans area, compiling insights that informed influencer outreach and media pitching strategies.

EVENTS

As part of event support for client restaurants, I attended tastings and dining experiences alongside local food influencers. My role included greeting guests, introducing them to the agency and our clients, and ensuring their experience reflected both the restaurant’s brand and our agency’s hospitality approach.
